ISO600 Edizione 2012

Un Festival interamente dedicato alla fotografia a sviluppo immediato, che si tratti di pellicole a distacco o integrali, il cui scopo è creare ed esporre pezzi unici, in opposizione ai sensori digitali che esaltano la produzione in serie e riducono il ruolo creativo della casualità.

 

Alla base il desiderio di utilizzare le tecnologie introdotte dal genio di Edwin Land più di sessanta anni fa, spina dorsale di un movimento artistico che tutt’oggi si distingue per la propria originalità.

 

“Il secondo album è sempre più difficile” cantava Caparezza, lo stesso vale per la seconda edizione di questo festival.

Un anno è passato in fretta, la fotografia istantanea sta facendo balzi da gigante grazie alle nuove pellicole Impossible e all’amore quasi incondizionato di tanti fotografi e fotoamatori; alle spalle il successo della prima edizione e davanti la scelta dei contenuti di questa manifestazione che deve restare al passo con questo nuovo mondo che sfreccia veloce.

 

Così il secondo festival è sempre più difficile, dedicato interamente alla fotografia a sviluppo immediato, ISO600 si allontana dal mondo istituzionale della fotografia proponendo al pubblico autori emergenti e portando in mostra la passione e l’inventiva di oltre 50 artisti italiani, un percorso fatto di mostre collettive e personali, eventi, workshop, conferenze e shooting dove non è il nome a creare il pathos ma l’immagine stessa.

 

Il motore della fotografia o dell’arte più in generale sono gli autori stessi con la loro volontà di mettersi in gioco, di esporre se stessi attraverso le proprie creazioni, mettendosi a nudo davanti agli occhi del mondo.

ISO600- Instant Photography Festival comes from an idea of Polaroiders' founders, Alan Marcheselli and Carmen Palermo.

 

This festival is entirely focused on instant photography, both peel a part and integral films, with the purpose of creating and to exhibit unique pieces of art, in opposition to digital sensors of mass production that minimize the creative role of casuality.

Primary aim is the wish to use the technologies created by the ingenious mind of Edwin Land more than 60 years ago, which is still a strong base of an artistic movement full of creativity.
"Second album is always more difficult than the previous one" says Caparezza, we can say the same about this edition of the Festival. 

Last year has passed quickly, instant photography is growing fast thanks to new Impossible films and to unconditional love of both professional and amateur photographers; we can see the success of the first edtion behind and the choose of brand new contents, always on the run, of this edition ahead.

So we can say this second edition is harder and entirely focused on instant photography.
ISO600 moves away from the institutional reality of photography by proposing emerging artists and by the creativity of more than 50 italian artists. A journey made of collective and personal exhibitions, events, workshops, conferences and shootings that will create phatos and emotions.

The heart of photography is  the artist himself, due to his will to get involved, to show himself through his art in front of the rest of the world.

La prossima edizione di ISO600 si terrà a Milano dal 4 al 7 Ottobre 2012 presso la galleria ARTRA GALLERY di via Burlamacchi 1.
